Dubai: UAE business leaders said they hope to get greater access to US markets, increased research and development funding from the US, following a meeting with President Barack Obama.

"We expect to receive support for increased exports to the US market, share knowledge and technology," Abdul Baset Al Janahi, Chief Executive of Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises, told Gulf News from Washington.

"Our leadership has taken all the necessary steps towards helping entrepreneurs. However, our expectation from the summit is also to set up regional venture capitals to help entrepreneurship grow."
