Dubai: Toyota dealer Al Futtaim Motors said on Monday that the Lexus GX460 and Toyota Prado VX and VX-L models are back on sale.
Sales of these vehicles were suspended on April 20 due to issues with their stability software.
Simon Frith, Managing Director, Al Futtaim Motors, said in a statement: “I can confirm that the Lexus GX460 and Toyota Prado VX and VX-L models are now back on sale. We are currently applying the software update to existing customers’ cars and all cars delivered from now on will have the update completed prior to handover. To date we have contacted the majority of affected customers and anticipate communicating with those remaining customers over the coming days.”
Frith added: “Al Futtaim Motors has been liaising very closely with Toyota Motor Corporation and the UAE’s Ministry of Economy since the initial announcement was made in the USA. We appreciate the continued co-operation and support among all the parties honouring the best interests of our customers. We regret any inconvenience the campaign has caused but trust customers appreciate the importance we always place on customer care.
