Dubai: More than 80 delegates from 10 countries participated in the inaugural International Conference on Technology, Business Management (ICTBM) 2010 at the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC).

Organised by the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Dubai, one of DIAC's key academic partners, the event held from March 16-18, witnessed 436 papers being submitted for consideration, out of which 86 papers will be published in the ICTBM bulletin. The papers were submitted by delegates from India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Libya, Oman, Portugal, Taiwan, the UAE, Ukraine, the UK and the US.

The conference aimed at strengthening IMT's association with the corporate world by bringing in a significant gathering of professionals in technology and management.

The event included parallel technical sessions on e-business, Indian industries and capital markets.

Supported by the Association of Indian Management Scholars-International and the International Forum of Management Scholars in Houston, Texas, the conference attracted a vast pool of researchers, stud-ents and academicians from around the globe.

Dr. Abhilasha Singh, Co-Chair of ICTBM 2010, welcomed Dr Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director, Dubai Knowledge Village and DIAC, and other guests.

Kazim said: "With knowledge and innovation as the cornerstones of economic and social growth, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City act as the two pillars of knowledge sharing through pioneering new initiatives that serve the society's cultural, social and economic objectives."
