Shows at DWTC set to draw thousands

Global exhibitions for various industries will host 2,000 participants from 70 countries

Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) will host three of the Middle East's leading shows covering the aviation, tourism, travel catering and interior design sectors; The Dubai Airshow, ITCA and Index.

The shows will be held at DWTC's key venues, the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Dubai Airport Expo. The shows will take up a combined 370,000 square metres of outdoor and indoor event space.

Set to take place from November 15-19, the biennial Dubai Airshow 2009 will welcome 890 exhibitors from 47 countries, a ten per cent increase over the previous event in 2007, with over 7,000 square metre growth in exhibition space.

With an anticipated 50,000 trade visitors, the 11th edition of the Dubai Airshow will attract top global industry leaders from the aviation sector.

From 14-17 November, DWTC will host over 1,000 exhibitors from 47 countries showcasing some of the industry's leading interior and spatial design products and emerging trends from around the world at Index 2009.

The fourth edition of ITCA, the niche travel catering services event for the Middle East, Africa and Indian Subcontinent, will be held from 16-18 November.

Altogether, around 2,000 participants from 70 countries are expected.
