Dubai: The Dubai Quality Group (DQG) has achieved a 75 per cent increase in membership of investor partners in 2007, a statement said.
DQG, which was established under the patronage of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group, recently held its annual general meeting at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, where over 300 members assessed the impact of DQG's programmes in 2007 and discussed plans for the new year.
"The year 2007 was a critical period in DQG's phased implementation of its strategy and business plan for the period 2007-2011," said Marwan Al Sawaleh, DQG chairman.
In 2007, DQG successfully institutionalised a number of subgroups which target specific areas of business development. These include the Ideas Arabia, Benchmarking, Performance Management, Banking and Finance and Customer Care.
International events
"Major international events were on top of the numerous activities DQG organised for member organisations such as workshops and evening seminars.
Al Sawaleh said, "Another milestone in 2007 was the establishment of the DQG consultancy service, which offers training and consultancy on quality department development and training, and assessment for internal awards.
"DQG also introduced the individual coaching service, which aids individuals in setting goals, decision-making and implementing new skills."
