Dubai: Liberty Automobiles Company, one of the leading General Motors dealers in the region, has reported full pre-bookings for its popular models, including HummerH3 V8 and Cadillac SRX as well as Chevrolet's new generation models including Camaro, Cruze and Malibu.

Duncan Peat, the newly appointed managing director of Liberty, said the full pre-bookings are an indication that the recovery in auto sales is accelerating after a nearly 40 per cent drop in sales in early 2009.

"The recovery which really began after September 2009, has been picking up momentum progressively. At Liberty Automobiles, we have decided to build on this positive sentiment by strengthening our overall service culture in particular, under a new motto of putting the customer first," said Peat.

Under the new service-centric strategy, Liberty will expand and overhaul service at its six service centres in the UAE.

The company has chalked out a three-year plan that makes "service" its main pillar, as a host of new-generation models wows local car enthusiasts.

The focus areas of the new strategy include: extending the working hours at service centres; arranging collection and delivery of vehicles to customers' doorsteps; and upgrading the call centre.
