Sharjah: Ruwad Establishment Wedensday announced the launch of its "National Network for Small and Medium enterprises [SMEs]", which aims to bring together as many institutions as possible in support of the small and medium enterprises sector.

It will also aim to achieve development and leadership status.

The initiative by Ruwad is targeted at strengthening cooperation between small and medium enterprises in various economic sectors, and to make the network a comprehensive hub of information and skills exchange between project owners on the one hand, and government and private sector establishments on the other, Ruwad Establishment said in a statement on Wednesday.

The network is designed to strengthen the competitive capabilities of national small and medium enterprises while developing creativity and leadership in order to reinforce relations and cooperation between national companies.

Initiative

In addition, with the help of the establishments supporting this initiative, it will create loyalty and confidence in national products as well as recognition of the actual and necessary needs of small and medium enterprises in the country.

Another facet of the network is the expansion of the number of companies benefiting from the services offered by establishments supporting small and medium enterprises, and the role of these in the support of sustainable development.

Ruwad also seeks to make the network a core centre for establishing integral and cluster projects in a way that ensures that big companies and establishments, inside and outside the country, are funded and member companies are stimulated to achieve performance and productivity.

Furthermore, the network is intended to be a central hub, bringing together Gulf projects with markets filled with potential investment opportunities to attract the attention of big international firms.
