Seoul: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Wednesday visited the Doosan Group for Heavy Industries and Construction manufacturing plant.

Shaikh Mohammad was accompanied by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and other senior officials.

Constant development

"The UAE's peaceful nuclear programme is a step forward in the UAE's comprehensive development strategy due to its positive and promising aspects, which will complement the UAE's constant development," said Shaikh Mohammad during his visit.

Upon arriving, Shaikh Mohammad was greeted by Jeong Wun Park, Doosan Chairman, and Y.H. Park, Chairman of the Board.

Shaikh Mohammad also visited the Shin Kori power plant that is currently constructing a Shin Kori 3, a Generation III reactor that will be completed in 2012 and is similar to the reactor that will be built in the UAE.

He also visited an operational Shin Kori 3 nuclear power plant and was briefed on the functions of the main control room and how it handles and monitors the power plant's operations.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his satisfaction with the high quality standards and efficiency he witnessed in the nuclear power plants. He praised the prominence of South Korean companies in providing the highest safety and environmental standards.
