Marka appoints new CEO

Dubai: Marka, a public joint stock company focused on the retail sector in the UAE, said on Sunday that Nick Peel has been appointed as chief executive officer. Peel was previously UK country manager of McArthur Glen, a European developer and manager of designer outlets. He has worked with brands that include Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Reiss, Jaeger, Kurt Geiger, Radley and Burberry. Marka raised Dh275m in an initial public offer of shares earlier this year and is expected to list on the Dubai Financial Market in September.
