Malabar Gold, a jewellery group with a significant presence in India and the Middle East, has unveiled two new designer brands - Ethnix and ERA - at a ceremony at Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah.
Malabar Gold also announced the opening of its 28th retail outlet at Lulu Hypermarket in Al Qusais, Dubai, as a part of its ambitious Dh300 million expansion plans for the Middle East region.
Actor Mohanlal, star in Malayalam movies and the brand ambassador of Malabar Gold, unveiled the two timeless designer collections.
Ethnix is handcrafted designer jewellery that draws on the ethnic influences of Indian heritage. ERA is a fusion of ancient Indian jewellery styles with modern trends.
M.P. Shamlal Ahmad, Managing Director - International Operations, said: "The Middle East is one of our key growth markets. With our Dh300 million expansion plans, we target a turnover of over Dh750 million in the region."
