Dubai: Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, was on Monday honoured with the "Inspirer of the Year" award at the World BPO Forum 2008.
The award was given in recognition of Shaikh Nahyan's leadership in developing education and technology, and encouraging sustainable partnerships with business communities. He established a national network for higher education and technology, and created the Centre for Excellence in Applied Research and Training (CERT).
The award was accepted by Bob Richards, director of Dubai Men's College, on behalf of Shaikh Nahyan, at the international outsourcing forum that took place in New Jersey, US.
The forum takes place every year to create a portal for outsourcing services. Substantial opportunities exist in the global outsourcing market, according to market researchers.
