Dubai: Hollywood Studios International division Artist International's Executive Director Dr Mohammad Samir announced yesterday that it has formed a strategic partnership with Abbi Shabazz, CEO of Exwaze LLC.
The deal calls for Shabazz to be named President of Artist International, Dubai. Artist International and Exwaze will develop and co-produce a series of television and film properties in Dubai for US and worldwide distribution as well as establish an alternative to traditional Hollywood representation.
Instead of standard management fees and services, Shabazz plans to develop a series of "artist partnerships". "We'll provide administrative services to artists and provide an environment in which they can create, distribute and own material in a way that benefits everyone involved," said Shabazz.
Hollywood Studios International CEO Steven Saxton structured the deal.
