Dubai: Forbes Middle East has recognised the achievements of the Top 100 Management Executives heading global corporate powerhouses in the Middle East and North Africa region at a ceremony in Dubai.

The top honours went to executives from General Electric, Citigroup, IBM, Samsung Gulf Electronics, Siemens, Nestle, and British Petroleum.

The event was attended by executives from renowned companies such as IBM, Volkswagen, Boeing, McDonald’s, Western Union, HP, and Thomson Reuters, among others.

“Global companies are increasingly looking eastward in pursuit of corporate success. Economic growth for the GCC is expected to rise to 4.1 per cent in 2014 compared to anticipated global growth of 3.6 per cent,” Hannah Stewart, Executive Editor at Forbes Middle East, said.

She added that business leaders are among the reasons behind this growth.

Randa Bessiso, Middle East Director of Manchester Business School, agreed and said, “Middle East business is increasingly active and visible on the world stage and attracting international attention; the region is also attracting some of the world’s top businesses and talent, as well as nurturing its own distinctive leadership styles.”
