Dubai to become face of the future

Dubai: The media explosion will shift communication and Dubai stands as the face of the future, Maurice Levy, CEO of Publicis Groupe, told Gulf News.
On the last day of the IAA World Congress, Levy received the IAA Distinguished Services Award.
"The IAA Award for Distinguished Services in the field of Marketing Services and Communications is like the Oscars for our industry," said IAA World President Joseph Ghossoub, who described Levy as a man of many skills.
The fact that the IAA World congress chose Dubai as its host is proof of the city's contribution to the crossroads of the industry, said Levy.
"The message from the city of Dubai is far more important than any other message from the event," said Levy.
"The mere transformation is impressive and it is not as a result of oil, it's due to the execution of visions."
Levy also said that the growth of the regional industry is much greater than that of Europe, where people are still stuck in the past and not making enough effort ito bring about important changes.
"I was here in Dubai six years ago. I see energy, strength, power and optimism, whereas in Europe we will not see such changes for the next 50 years or so," added Levy.
