Dubai: Dubai took the third spot for best taxi service and shopping out of 40 international tourist cities in a Cities Survey conducted by Tripadvisor, a travel website.
The survey, which had 75,000 responses, was sent to Tripadvisor users who have recently written a trip review on the featured cities. They had written reviews on either a hotel, restaurant or an attraction.
Commenting on Dubai’s ranking, Hayley Coleman, a representative of Tripadvisor, told Gulf News that the site could not acquire the details as to why the cities were ranked. However, the procedure for the ranking involved getting users to score the cities in each category, like safest city or friendliest locals, which determined where it would be ranked.
