Dubai issues 1,377 licences in November
Dubai issued 1,377 business licences during November, the Department of Economic Development said, on Monday.
Dubai: Dubai issued 1,377 business licences during November, the Department of Economic Development said, on Monday.
Most of the licences issued were to the commercial sector, accounting for 1,111 or 80 per cent, followed by the professional sector with 244 licences, the industrial sector with 11 licences and the tourism sector with 11 licences, according to a report prepared by the department.
Perfumes and cosmetics led the list of top 10 licenced activities with 150 licences issued,.
"The significant number of commercial licences issued by the department reflects the activity witnessed by this sector and the high level of local and foreign investor interest in the emirate," said Mohammad Shael, Chief Business Registration and Licensing Officer.
