The fifth edition of “Eid in Dubai” celebrations, which has been organised by DEPE since 2008, is preparing a slew of events, both outdoors and indoors, which promise to be exciting and thrilling. The celebrations include live performances, concerts, plays, fireworks displays, and much more.
Eid in Dubai is conceptualised as a social occasion for people from different nationalities to celebrate what Eid stands for and its social values that focus on caring, tolerance and togetherness. It also aims at attracting visitors from neighbouring countries.
Laila Suhail, CEO of DEPE, said: “Eid in Dubai celebration is a different kind of festival, it has its own spirit and ethos. DEPE ensures that each edition of Eid in Dubai reaches out to the widest range of audience as possible. We want everyone to feel the joy of Eid, and our events and activities during Eid are designed to attract everyone that likes to celebrate, starting from the simple Eid Mubarak greetings with the sweets and coffee that we give out, to the mega events and concerts planned in Eid.”
“In this fifth edition, we are very proud of the scale and impact that Eid in Dubai has achieved considering how young it is as a regional brand. We strongly believe that this success comes as a natural result of Dubai’s unique ability of creating fun and festivities in all seasons and occasions. Dubai is truly a year- round destination for all.”
Residents and visitors alike can look forward to events including a children’s concert at Modhesh World featuring the Toyoor Al Janah popular show, stand-up comedy shows, concerts, roaming clowns and performers, colourful fireworks and much more. Shopping malls and retail outlets across Dubai are organising amazing shopping discounts and offers through Eid as part of Eid in Dubai. The promotions run until September 10.
