Dubai Chamber gets major environment certification
Green credentials come as a big boost
Dubai: The Dubai Chamber is leading the green revolution by becoming the first of the LEED Certified Existing Buildings in the Arab world and one of only four outside the US and Canada.
"The Chamber of Commerce is a magnificent achievement and goes to show significant improvement and environmental impacts can be achieved within current building stock," Tyrone Lawson, technical director at WSP Energy and Environment, told Gulf News. "The existing buildings of Dubai… are now due their first major refurbishment of main plant items. This is an ideal opportunity to assess their energy usage and implement sustainable initiatives."
