Dubai: DM Healthcare, one of the largest health care service providers in the region, said Saturday it has opened the first private hospital in Oman's Batinah region.
The Aster Hospital in Sohar was dedicated to the people of North Bathina region last week by Wali of Sohar, Sayed Hilal Bin Bader Al Busaidy in the presence of Anil Wadhwa, Indian Ambassador to Oman, Dr Azad Moopen, Chairman, DM Healthcare, Dr Adil Ansari, Executive Director, Ministry of Health, Sohar, Dr Khalid Sultan Al Gaithi, Director, Finance and administration, Ministry of Health, Sohar, Senior Officials of various Government departments, Corporates and other invitees.
Aster Hospital, like all other DM healthcare Hospitals and Medical Centres, shall strive hard to help the people who require health care with a personal touch, the company said. This is the first private hospital in the area and will form part of the largest network of medical facilities in the GCC.

Spread over, nearly 50,000 square feet, the Aster hospital, located at Al Hambar, Sohar, will have 60 beds.
