DED honours economic research award winners
The Department of Economic Development (DED) honoured nine winners of the Dubai Economic Research Award (Dera) at an event here on Monday.
Dubai: The Department of Economic Development (DED) honoured nine winners of the Dubai Economic Research Award (Dera) at an event here on Monday.
In his keynote address, Khalid Al Kassim, Deputy Director General for Planning and Development, DED, said the efforts of the Dera winners will support the economic development of Dubai and the UAE.
The awards were presented in three categories. The top prize in the Professionals category was awarded to Abdul Aziz Istaitieh. Yahya Ahmad Al Sharji won the second prize while the third prize was won by Irfan Al Hassani.
Dr. Dwayne A. Bank won the first prize in the Faculty Members category while Dr. Masood Abdulla Badri won the second prize. Dr. Nico Vellinga won the third prize.
In the Students category, Fatima Ahmad and Balqees Ahmad won the first prize while Asma Yousuf, Eman Walid and Hanan Mansoor won the second prize. Hessa Hassan, Huda Al Saadi, and Maryam Al Falasi won the third prize.
