Dubai : The franchisee for babyGap in the UAE yesterday announced a voluntary recall of the Marrakesh style swimsuit.
"This recall impacts only one style of swimsuit from babyGap in sizes 0-24 months. A limited quantity of 11 units of babyGap Marrakesh style swimsuit were sold in the UAE through the Gap store located at The Dubai Mall," a statement released yesterday said.
It added that the Marrakesh swimsuits have halter straps that are too short and as a result can cause an obstruction to a child's airway.
Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled product immediately unless otherwise instructed. No injuries have yet been reported.

The babyGap swimsuit is a blue and white print — style number 706260.
"Consumers should immediately return the recalled swimsuit to any GapKids or Gap store for a full refund.
"Consumers who return the swimsuit will also receive 25 per cent off any one regular-priced item," it said.
