Dubai: Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates airline and Group, yesterday received Ajay Banga, president and CEO of MasterCard International Inc and his delegation at the Executive Council in Dubai.
Shaikh Ahmad welcomed Banga and his delegation and expressed his pleasure at the visit. He referred to the constructive efforts to achieve the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership in providing an ideal working environment and strengthening the infrastructure, upgrading it to international standards to attract companies and financial institutions for the emirate of Dubai in particular, and the UAE in general.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments and achievements of MasterCard International Inc and its future expansion plans for the region.
Smart government vision
They also reviewed the extent of its commitment to achieve the vision of the emirate of Dubai and its aspirations to move towards a comprehensively smart government.
On his part, Banga and his delegation praised the efforts of those involved in the Government of Dubai in creating an attractive environment for investment by providing all facilities to companies in general.
Banga also expressed his admiration for the tremendous development witnessed by the emirate at all levels and its leading role in the region’s business sector.
A number of senior officials attended the meeting.
