Dubai: Hundreds of the world's top advertising executives have gathered in Dubai for the 40th International Advertising Association World Congress, which begins today.
More than 1,800 industry professionals will attend the three-day congress at the Dubai International Convention Centre.
Delegates from more than 60 countries, including India, China, Bulgaria, Australia and Vietnam, have converged on the city to take part.
New global chief
Joseph Ghossoub, chief executive of The Holding Group, yesterday took over as World President of the IAA.
Ghossoub, who has previously served as president of the organisation's UAE Chapter, the largest IAA chapter in the world, said he wanted to see professionals from outside the advertising industry join the group.
"Advertising used to be a one-stop shop, but now it's a full communications industry, yet some industry players like public relations or research are not involved because the name is the IAA."
