Abu Dhabi: Visitors to the forthcoming Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex) will be able to see for themselves the latest developments in home-grown hunting and sporting technology, thanks to Tawazun Holding.

The exhibition, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, will play host to a showcase of products from four Tawazun Holding subsidiaries — Caracal International, Caracal Light Ammunition, Tawazun Advanced Defence Systems (TADS), and Merkel.

Each company will present its latest products, all of which have been designed and/or made in the UAE.

Caracal International, which develops a wide range of small modern firearms, will showcase a variety of its pistols as well as CSR and CC10 rifles. Caracal Light Ammunition will showcase its shot shell cartridges as well as ammunition for 9mm, 5.56mm, 7.62mm and 12.7mm calibers.

Tawazun Advanced Defence Systems, the long-range rifle designer, developer and manufacturer, will showcase rifles including the KS-11 rifle and the modified KS-11M.

Merkel will showcase its RX Helix rifle, dubbed by industry experts as the hunting rifle of the 21st century. Merkel will also showcase custom-made hunting rifles as well as traditional handcrafted shotguns.

Saif M. Al Hajeri, CEO of Tawazun Holding, said: “The culture of hunting runs deep in Emirati culture and Adihex has become one of the most popular consumer exhibitions in the UAE. The UAE is steadily building a name for its high-quality riflery and other related products so Adihex is an ideal venue in which to blend the UAE’s past with that of its manufacturing future. Consumer events like this enable us to meet face-to-face with our individual customers, hear their feedback on our products and exchange valued ideas about their needs, all in an environment that celebrates our heritage”.

Adihex is the premium dedicated hunting, equestrian and outdoor sports exhibition in the region and is held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club. Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) from September 5-8, the event is expected to attract 100,000 visitors from across the region.
