ATHENS: Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State, met Alexis Tsipras, Prime Minister of Greece, on Friday, to discuss opportunities for enhancing cooperation and mutual investments as well as regional and international issues of shared concern.

Their discussions, which took place at the Greek Cabinet, covered areas of potential cooperation, in sectors such as the economy, industry, trade, tourism, energy and food security.

During the meeting, Al Jaber conveyed greetings from the UAE leadership to Tsipras.

The Greek Prime Minister, while reciprocating his greetings, hailed bilateral relations with the UAE and highlighted the need to promote them to serve the shared interests of the two countries.

Welcoming Al Jaber to Greece, where the ministerial meeting of the third session of the UAE-Greece Higher Joint Committee was held, Tsipras reiterated that bilateral relations are strong.

Tsipras hailed the overall development and growth taking place in the UAE and underlined that Greece wants to build a strategic partnership with the UAE and provide facilities to attract more Emirati investments.

Al Jaber highlighted that UAE-Greece bilateral relations are deep. He called for action to benefit from available opportunities in both countries to encourage mutual investments and joint projects. He further expressed his hope that the UAE-Greece relations would see further growth and prosperity to serve their common interests.
