UAE-Europe trade touches $156.9b
Trade between the UAE and Europe hit $156.9 billion in 2007, according to a report from the Federal Customs Authority.
Dubai: Trade between the UAE and Europe hit $156.9 billion in 2007, according to a report from the Federal Customs Authority.
UAE's imports from European countries reached Dh131.6 billion, out of which is Dh26.9 billion worth of imports from Germany.
Re-exports from the UAE to Europe were estimated at Dh22.1 billion, of which Dh764 million to Germany.
The authority released the report in the wake of a visit to Germany by a UAE delegation led by Mohammad Khalifa Al Muhairi, director-general of the authority.
The visit comes in line with the continuous cooperation between the UAE and European Union countries and in view of the remarkable increase in trade between the UAE and Europe over the last few years.
