Phnom Penh: The UAE and Cambodia on Thursday signed an agreement to protect and encourage bilateral investment between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by Saif Abdullah Al Shamsi, the non-resident ambassador to Cambodia, and Sok Chenda Sophea, Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, at the council’s headquarters in Cambodia.

The UAE Ambassador said that the signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the country’s strategy to expand its international network of relations, protect and encourage domestic investments abroad, and to enable UAE investments to grow and expand.
