Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports to other Gulf states up 25%
Saudi non-oil exports to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states have increased by 25 per cent during the third quarter of 2007 to reach 6.3 billion Saudi riyals (around Dh6.18 billion) compared to 5.1 billion riyals in 2006, an increase of 1.2 billion riyals.

The UAE topped the list of countries that received Saudi exports, according to a report released yesterday by the Department of General Statistics and Information of the Saudi Ministry of Planning.
"Saudi non-oil exports to the UAE include petrochemicals, plastic and metals and their products as well as re-exported commodities," the report said.
China came second on the list of countries that received Saudi exports, followed by Kuwait and Qatar.
The US topped the list of countries from where the Kingdom imported non-oil commodities in the third quarter of 2007, followed by China, Germany and Japan.
The report noted that Saudi non-oil imports from the GCC rose nine per cent in the third quarter of 2007 compared to the same period last year.
The value of these imports reached 3.6 billion riyals compared to 3.3 billion riyals during the same period of 2006.
