Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Idriss Deby, President of Chad.

During the meeting, Shaikh Mohammad and Deby discussed bilateral relations, and ways to bolster them, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, investments, development and energy. They also spoke about available opportunities that can be utilised for achieving the mutual interests of both nations.

Shaikh Mohammad and Deby emphasised the importance of benefiting from successful experiences of the UAE and Chad, as well as the possibility of setting up economic partnerships, development programmes and vital projects between the two nations.

Shaikh Mohammad stressed that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen on strengthening relations with Chad in various fields and boosting dialogue in order to reach the highest levels of bilateral cooperation and mutual work.

The meeting also touched on recent regional and international developments of mutual concern.

Present were Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Lieutenant-General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and other officials.
