Baghdad: An Iranian official says Iran's foreign minister has led a delegation to Iraq to discuss furthering economic ties between the two countries.

A spokesman at Iran's embassy in Baghdad says Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki arrived on Wednesday in Iraq's capital city.

Spokesman Amir Arshdi says the foreign minister will be meeting with Iraq's trade minister.

He says Mottaki is leading a delegation that includes representatives of Iran's oil, trade and energy ministries as well as representatives of Iran's central bank.
