Dubai: The 10th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) will be attended by a number of global leaders, business leaders and high-profile speakers addressing some of the most critical economic and business-related issues facing the world today.

The forum, expected to be attended by more than 2,500 participants, is organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the WIEF Foundation. The event will run from October 28 to 30, at the Madinat Jumeirah.

“Participants in the Forum will have a unique opportunity to listen to expert speakers from a wide range of sectors, who will be involved in high level exchange of ideas while sharing their first-hand experiences with international colleagues on the changing dynamics in global business,” said Tun Musa Hitam, Chairman of the WIEF Foundation.

Prominent in the list of confirmed speakers is Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Governor of Central Bank of Malaysia, who will address a Dialogue Session “Sukuk Development and Financial Stability”, particularly in the context of the expanding sukuk market. Other speakers for this session include; Masoud Ahmad, Director, Middle East and Central Asia Department, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Mahmoud Mohieddin, Corporate Secretary and President’s Special Envoy on Millennium Development Goals, World Bank and a Senior Representative from Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
