Abu Dhabi: A number of key entities in Dubai are joining forces to stage an event in China highlighting the emirate’s opportunities in serving as a gateway for exporters looking for economic development and cultural exchange.

Taking place from October 27-29, 2016, Dubai Week in Shanghai will highlight the bilateral relationship and create connections for future mutual growth. The event, which is organised by Expo 2020 and its official partners, aims to deepen the knowledge and understanding of the emirate among government officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors.

It will comprise discussions spanning business, education, innovation, Expo 2020 Dubai, and sports.

The UAE delegation with include representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Dubai Duty Free, DIFC Courts, Emirates, and KHDA, among others.

“With a strong foundation of mutual respect and trust, strengthened by the common goals of our Look East focus and China’s Belt and Road Initiative, the bilateral relationship continues to grow and this event presents a tremendous opportunity to strengthen further these ties … As the UAE prepares to host Expo 2020 Dubai, we also look forward to learning more from Shanghai’s success in 2010,” said Reem Al Hashemi, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Director General Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau.
