Dubai inflation declined in April

Dubai’s consumer price inflation declined -0.3% month on month and -1.5% year on year in April

Dubai Dubai’s consumer price inflation declined -0.3 per cent month on month and -1.5 per cent year on year in April from -0.3 per cent month on month in March and -1.9 per cent year on year in March, according to data released by Dubai Statistics Center.

Food prices fell -1.6 per cent last month while housing and miscellaneous goods and services prices declined -0.1 per cent month on month respectively.

All other components of the CPI were unchanged from the previous month.

Earlier this week Abu Dhabi reported inflation of 0.2 per cent month on month and 1.8 per cent year on year, up from 1.3 per cent in March.

The main driver was the 4.9 per cent rise in restaurants & hotels, followed by a 0.5 per cent rise in household furnishing and equipment.
