- Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sami Al Qimzi, Director General of the Dubai Economic Department and Mohammad Shael, CEO, Business Registration and Licensing, tour the new facility of the Dubai Economic Department (DED) at the Business Village in Dubai.
Located near the clock tower in Deira, the new building has been designed to serve as a one-stop shop for all Dubai Economic Department services, including business registration and licensing, the key interface between the Dubai Economic Department and the business community in Dubai. His Highness Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum toured the new premises following the opening.
Dubai SME and Dubai FDI, two agencies under the Dubai Economic Department umbrella, are already operating from the new building. More services are being integrated in the new building, which offers an advanced “e-services” portfolio designed to speed up the processing of applications from investors and businesses.
Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of the Dubai Economic Department, said that the new premises would allow the Department of Economic Development to offer a more advanced, flexible, convenient and diverse suite of services to customers, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as one of the best business destinations in the world.
