Dubai: The Department of Economic Development – Ajman (DED) said it has so far received applications to reserve more than 450 trade names via its online ‘Trade Name Reservation’ portal since the launch of the facility at the beginning of the second quarter of this year. The move is an effort to attract investors and build a business-friendly environment, DED said in statement on Sunday, adding that the e-service platform allows for reservation of trade names for two months, besides serving as a new and modern channel created to support the UAE’s move to adopt a knowledge-driven economy and strengthen Ajman’s business and investment infrastructures.
