Abu Dhabi: Consumer prices in the first quarter of 2017 in Abu Dhabi rose by 2.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2016, according to data released by Statistics Centre, Abu Dhabi.

Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels’ group accounted for the largest rise in the consumer price index during the first quarter of 2017 compared with the same period 2016.

Abu Dhabi district contributed 56.7 per cent of the total increase of 2.2 per cent for the first quarter of 2017 compared with the same period of 2016, while Al-Ain district contributed 37.5 per cent and Al Dhafra district 5.8 per cent.
