ABU DHABI: AmCham Abu Dhabi, a recognised voice of US business in the UAE capital, has elected a new Board of Directors for 2017-2018.

The decision was taken at the annual general meeting of the organisation held in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Sharief Fahmy of Middle East General Enterprises has been elected chairman, Christopher J. Davis of Raytheon International UAE, vice-chairman; Paul O’Brien of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, treasurer, and John P. McGowan Junior of JPM Legal Advisors Worldwide, as secretary.

Members-at-Large include Manaf Afyouni of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Khuloud Al Nuwais of Emirates Foundation, Nasser Al Osaiba of Global Advocacy and Legal Counsel, Peter Christensen of New York University Abu Dhabi, Rula Dajani of AMIDEAST, Brian Lott of Mubadala Investment Company, Peter Rafferty of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Elias Sayah of Sayah Engineering MENA, Maurice Ross Wingo II of Dolphin, Occidental Petroleum, Donald M. Wix, Jr. of Lockheed Martin Global, and Dareen M. Zoughbi of Nadereen Consultancy.

The annual general meeting kicked off with opening remarks by Theresa F. Weber, executive director of the organisation. Sharief Fahmy, chairman, provided an overview of AmCham Abu Dhabi. Following his remarks, Board Committee Chairs reported on their accomplishments over the last 12 months.
