Mohammad issues decree to set up Dubai Free Zone Council

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued Decree No. 23 and 30 of 2015, setting up the Free Zone Council (FZC) and naming its members.

The decree named Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, as Chairman of FZC.

The council’s members include the Secretary General of Dubai Free Zone, the Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre, the Chairman of the Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zones Corporation, the Director General of the Dubai Creative Clusters Authority, Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre, the Chief Executive of Dubai Aviation City Corporation, and the Chairman of Meydan City.

The FZC will also include the Deputy Chairman of International Humanitarian City, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Healthcare City, the Director General of Dubai Municipality, the Director General of Dubai Security Service, the Deputy Chairman of Dubai Silicon Oasis, the Director General of the Free Zone Authority in Dubai International Airport, and the Chief Executive of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre.
