Atlanta: Coca-Cola Co on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $3.45 billion (Dh12.6 billion). The Atlanta-based company said it had net income of 79 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 60 cents per share. The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 58 cents per share. The world’s largest beverage maker posted revenue of $11.54 billion in the period, missing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $11.69 billion. Coke shares have climbed 4.5 per cent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has increased 6 per cent. The stock has climbed 11 per cent in the last 12 months.
