Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) today received Masud Husain, Canada’s ambassador to the UAE, to celebrate a safety milestone by Canadian company Hatch, EGA said in a statement on Thursday.
Hatch, an engineering company based in Ontario, Canada, is working to build EGA’s Al Taweelah alumina refinery.
The company has more than 1,600 people working on its portion of the project, which involves installing a new gas turbine and two heat recovery steam generators at EGA’s power plant, while connecting them to the new refinery.
