Dubai: This particular pony’s got a head for heights. After debuting at the top of the Empire State Building in April, the 2015 Mustang GT Convertible has made it to the 112th floor of the Burj Khalifa.
And putting the stamp of approval to the proceedings was Bill Ford Jr. Executive Chairman of Ford Motors, who put the Mustang’s instantly recognisable badge on the model. But how did it get up to that level? It was brought of the base the high-rise, separated into six sections, transported to the 112th floor via elevator and then reassembled by a team of six engineers over 12 hours.
As for those looking to buy the new-gen Mustangs, they will be reach local showrooms within weeks, with prices ranging between Dh130,000 for the basic manual to Dh195,000 for the full options automatic.
It went on sale in th US on April 17.
