Dubai Al Tayer Motors' Land Rover showroom on Shaikh Zayed Road has been recognised as the world's highest selling dealership for Range Rover models for 2011.
It received a special recognition certificate from Jaguar Land Rover's Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan operations at a regional dealers meet in Beirut recently. This is the fifth time the dealership has won it. It picked up the same honour each year from 2006 to 2008 and in 2010.
"It is a great achievement for us to be setting standards of excellence not just for sales but importantly for after-sales as well as marketing for Jaguar and Land Rover within the region," Ashok Khanna, CEO at Al Tayer Motors, said.
"Winning the overall dealer of the year award within the Jaguar and Land Rover regional network is a testimony to our efforts on behalf of both brands in the UAE."
Five awards in the kitty
The dealership won five awards from Jaguar Land Rover, the most by any in the regional network, for 2011-12. This includes ‘dealer of the year', ‘top sales dealer for Land Rover', ‘top sales dealer for Jaguar', ‘top after-sales dealer for Jaguar' and ‘best marketing of the year for Jaguar and Land Rover'.
Combined sales for Jaguar and Land Rover in the UAE in first quarter 2012 was up 40 per cent over the corresponding period last year.
