Al Ain: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday received Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain Crown Prince, at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain.

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, was present.

Prince Salman conveyed to Shaikh Khalifa the greetings of Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa and Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Prime Minister.

During the meeting, they discussed the distinguished brotherly relations between UAE and Bahrain, and coordination and cooperation between the two nations in all fields within the framework of the GCC march and for the mutual benefit of both countries’ peoples.

Shaikh Khalifa and Prince Salman exchanged views on a number of developments and current events in the regional and international stages, as well as issues of mutual concern.

Shaikh Khalifa stressed the UAE’s keenness to enhance development and stability in Bahrain, and expressed the hope that Bahrain would witness more progress and prosperity under its wise leadership.

Prince Salman expressed his gratitude and pride for the UAE’s continued supportive stance for Bahrain in order for the country to achieve stability and development, as well as the growth and development witnessed by the brotherly relations between the UAE and Bahrain. He said that the brotherly feelings conveyed by Shaikh Khalifa towards Bahrain, its people and leadership is a model for relations between GCC countries and their joint work.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, other shaikhs and Emirati and Bahraini officials.
