Al Ahli handball player dies in car accident

Sharjah: Ibrahim Hassan Al Jaddaa, the goalkeeper of Al Ahli handball club, died early Saturday after being involved in a tragic car accident on Kalba Road.

According to reports, the victim was driving to Kalba, when his car overturned after he lost control of the vehicle.

Sharjah Police operations room received a call early Saturday reporting the accident on Kalba Road, officials said.

Tearful teammates and friends paid their tributes on the social media to one of UAE handball’s rising stars.

The ‘Red Knights’ team issued a formal obituary of Al Jaddaa through their accounts in the social media.

The funeral was held at Al Hison mosque after Duhur prayers and the body was buried in Kalba cemetery.
