In what has become a standing tradition, every year since 1992, Montblanc honours an influential patron of art from the 20th century with a limited edition writing instrument. As a brand that is deeply rooted in the culture of writing, and for its 30th and final edition, Montblanc is paying homage to Victoria and Albert with a couple edition.

The Queen of the United Kingdom and Ireland, and later Empress of India, and the Prince Consort of Sachsen-Coburg and Gotha, Victoria and Albert were rulers of an empire that has left an indelible mark on history. Under their rule, the empire thrived with a new age of technology, economic growth and culture.

The collection features two 4,810 and two 888 editions -- one honours Victoria and one is an ode to Albert. Then there is one LE100 and one LE8, which pays tribute to both of them as a couple. The special edition writing instruments feature symbols such as Victoria's crown and sceptre. They also boast the linked initials V&A, as well as her engagement ring used in the design of the writing instruments.

The edition dedicated to Victoria has a cap in translucent mint-green lacquer, one of her favourite colours to wear. Albert’s edition, meanwhile, is finished in burgundy-coloured translucent lacquer on the cap evoking the colours of the British Field Marshal uniform he wore at his wedding.

Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Victoria & Albert Limited Edition is now available online and at Montblanc boutiques.
