Dubai: The 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will return from September 30 to October 2, 2025, with a sharp focus on the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI).

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the event will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

Driving innovation across key sectors

WETEX 2025 will highlight how AI is redefining service delivery, accelerating digital transformation, and supporting the transition to a more sustainable future.

The exhibition will bring together leading local and global companies to showcase the latest AI-driven solutions, applications, and use cases across critical sectors such as energy, water, environment, transportation, and smart infrastructure.

These innovations aim to improve operational efficiency, automate routine tasks, enhance customer experiences, and enable smarter, data-driven decision-making to boost both economic performance and quality of life.

Upskilling for the digital economy

In addition to product showcases, WETEX will feature panel discussions focused on AI skill-building. These sessions will empower youth, professionals, and government employees to develop and deploy AI-based services and tools, equipping them to meet future challenges and contribute to a thriving digital economy.

Global experts will also share insights on AI ethics, data privacy, and governance. Discussions will focus on striking a balance between technological advancement and responsible data usage, helping institutions navigate a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

A platform for economic growth

“WETEX reinforces the UAE’s status as a global AI hub and boosts Dubai’s leadership in building a smart, knowledge-based economy,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Chairman of WETEX. “By attracting top technologies, start-ups, and AI talent, the event supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”

Al Tayer added that WETEX supports the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 by facilitating knowledge transfer, strengthening digital infrastructure, and promoting partnerships that drive innovation in key sectors.

A regional and global sustainability showcase

WETEX is the region’s largest platform for green technologies, renewable energy, water, sustainability, electric vehicles, and other essential industries. It offers unmatched access to new innovations, investment opportunities, and partnerships with thousands of companies, officials, and decision-makers.
