UAE signs border security deal with Abu Dhabi firm

Abu Dhabi: Advanced Integrated Systems, an Abu Dhabi-based national company established to provide security solutions ranging from buildings security to homeland security, said yesterday it has signed a Dh271 million deal with the UAE Armed Forces General Headquarters (GHQ) to provide total solutions related to the UAE border security.

"We will be deploying state-of-the-art technologies from different providers worldwide as per the requirements of the UAE Armed Forces GHQ under the HARES project," Khalfan Al Shamsi, project manager with Advanced Integrated Systems, told reporters at the ongoing International Security National Resilience (ISNR) exhibition and conference here.

"We are covering the entire UAE border. The contract was signed earlier this month," he said.

The objectives of the HARES project is to establish highly automated target detection, identification and tracking border security system designed to integrate fully automated system to respond to external threats for the UAE border.
