Dubai: Panasonic will be looking to promote its green credentials as well as strengthen its position in the 3D tele-vision market during this year's Gitex.

The company has already announced a press conference on Tuesday when it is expected to announce a global green initiative. According to Anthony Peter, the company's regional associate director of communications and customer care group, Panasonic is working on ways to cut down the environmental impact of its production processes as well as provide consumers with more energy efficient products.

"It's the responsibility of a company as large as Panasonic to make products to use less energy," Peters told Gulf News.

Panasonic will also be promoting its 3D products at Gitex Shopper with a "get real, feel real" campaign, which includes the exhibition of a 152-inch 3D television and the regional launch of a 3D hand-held video camera which will retail for about Dh5,500.
