Dubai: Apple’s new iPhones go on sale from Saturday at 12.01am at major malls in the UAE.

Retailers got very limited quantities compared to the robust demand.

“We got limited quantities of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and it will be vanished within one or two hours of sale,” Nadeem Khanzadah, head of retail at Jumbo Electronics, told Gulf News.

All the major malls like Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall, Deira City Centre, Oasis Centre, Emax’ Sharjah Big Box, Dalma Mall and Mirdiff City Centre will be opened for the sale.

Many retailers had started pre-bookings from September 18.

Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO of Emax, said that pre-booked customers will get priority. "I don’t think the stocks (on hand) will last for over the counter sales."

Khanzadah said that the next stocks are expected by next Saturday and that may meet the local demand.

The new iPhones come in gold, silver and space grey, and the iPhone 6 will be available for Dh2,599 for the 16GB model, Dh2,999 for the 64GB model and, for the first time, a new 128GB model for Dh3,399.

iPhone 6 Plus will be available for Dh2,999 for the 16GB model, Dh3,399 for the 64GB model and Dh3,799 for the new 128GB model.
