Rakin Khan and Shayan Mohammed braved the summer heat at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club to win the Pairs Open Social with an impressive score of 16 under par.
The youngsters’ round included a staggering nine net birdies and four net eagles. The pair both contributed equally and were delighted to walk away with the prizes on offer and be crowned champions of the August edition of the tournament.
The victory for the pair came a week after Mohammed had secured his first piece of silverware at the club. The junior posted a sensational score of 47 Stableford points, which included eight net birdies and two net eagles, to top the leaderboard by an impressive nine shots at the end of the Monthly Stableford.
Other winners on the day were the pair of Murtaza Sufi and Ajaz Ahmed who claimed best front nine with a very impressive round of seven under par, while Kamran Qureshi and Rail Shavaleev took home the prize for the best back nine was with a brilliant score of ten under par.
